Using POV means agreeing to this. It is short on purpose.
The deal
- A roll has a fixed number of frames per person and a time at which it opens. Both are decided by the host, and neither can be undone by us on request — the app is built so that nobody, including us, sees a frame early.
- There is no viewfinder, no preview and no deleting a frame you have shot. That is the point of it.
- Photos you take are yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the other people on that roll, and nothing beyond that.
What you agree not to do
- Shoot or share anything unlawful, or anything of someone who has not agreed to be photographed.
- Use POV to harass anyone, or to distribute someone else's frames outside the roll.
- Attempt to reach frames before a roll develops, or frames on a roll you are not part of.
We can remove content or end an account that does these things. A roll is a group of people who know each other; behave accordingly.
What we do not promise
POV is provided as it is. We try hard not to lose photographs, and we keep backups, but we cannot guarantee a roll or a frame against loss, and a phone that dies mid-event is not something we can recover from. If a frame matters permanently, save it out of the app once the roll develops.
Your account lives on the device that created it. Uninstalling and reinstalling keeps it; moving to a new phone does not, until account sign-in exists.
Ending it
Delete your account in You → Delete my account at any time. It takes your frames with it, permanently.
